Assessments

People take in and process information differently.
It is critical that both the program design and the facilitator/coach are multi-faceted and sensitive to each person. This is accomplished first, with an assessment of either the individual and or the organization. LTA always assesses each client’s situation before proceeding.
Personal Profile System, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Firo B, Leadership Analysis, Listening Style Indicator, 360 assessments, Focus groups and Personal Interviews, are some of the tools LTA uses to assist in finding the right development approach and learning activities for our clients.

Experience-Based Learning (EBL)

Whenever appropriate, LTA incorporates customized Experience-based learning activities as part of our delivery design. Experience-based learning is rich in symbols, metaphors, feelings, and conveyance. It encourages participants to see similarities between situations that happen during a planned activity or coaching conversation, and situations in other aspects of life and work. The participants find themselves engulfed in the dynamics of the activity, both emotionally and intellectually.

Debriefing

This is one of the most important and delicate part of the learning process. The facilitator must be skillful… or the meaning is lost and the participant feels like all s/he did was an exercise. LTA facilitators debrief with the participants in a manner that enables them to process their experiences in a clearer, more intense manner than through the more traditional instructional strategies. Asking questions, using metaphors and intense listening for deeper meaning are basic skills mastered by LTA’s facilitators. The more participants digest, synthesize, and assimilate what is happening in the planned activity or coaching conversation, the more learning and behavioral change is eminent.
